Locations and hours of operation for their job center facilities downtown and in Oakland. Great site.


  1. Pittsburgh Technology Council - Formerly the Pittsburgh Hi-Tech Council.  An association of 1,700 technology, advanced manufacturing, and support companies in Pittsburgh and southwestern Pennsylvania. Provides on-line membership directory, job board, etc.


  1. Internet Business Forum - A new Pittsburgh group addressing the business opportunities and challenges of leveraging Internet and Intranet capabilities. This group's monthly meetings include talks by  the senior management from Pittsburgh's leading internet and web firms plus an opportunity to network with others who share interests in this technology.  Typically 100 - 250 attendees.


  1. Small Manufacturers' Council of Pittsburgh - Membership of 5000 employers and 80,000 employees, membership directory, calendar of upcoming events, technical assistance for small businesses, links to other regional business resources.

Engineering Society of Western PA - Founded in 1880 to provided a forum for the professional development and the facilities for the social interaction of its members  in the Pittsburgh region.  Sponsors annual Engineering Week activities.  Publishes Pittsburgh Engineer, a quarterly magazine for members.  Headquarters building in downtown Pittsburgh provides lunch, dinner, and meeting facilities for its 45 member societies.  Links to each member society's web page.

RIDC - The Regional Industrial Development Corporation of Southwestern PA developed and manages several large industrial parks in various parts of the Pittsburgh area.  Their web site includes maps of each of these parks along with lists of the industrial tenants located there.  A major source of high tech firms in the area.

  1. Innovation Works - The Enterprise Corporation has merged with the Ben Franklin Technology Center of Western Pennsylvania. The new organization is known as Innovation Works.
